Mona Kenyon has agreed to be the interim CEO of the agency effective September 15, 2022. The Board Search Committee made the decision to consider an internal option after an extensive search of external candidates. With feedback from Management Team and staff, it was felt by the Board that this was a better route to take for the stability of the agency and allow more time to decide next steps.
Mona has more than eighteen years of service as the leader of the SUI HR Department. She started her Systems career in 2001 as a supervisor of a home and then moved into an HR Specialist position in 2002. In 2008, she became the HR Director and moved to her current role as an Executive Team member in 2016. Mona has led many initiatives around the agency including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts, higher pay for frontline staff and has led the agency through two CEO transitional periods. Not only does she have many years of experience with the agency, she holds her Master’s Degree in Education. The Board will continue to support Mona and Management Team during this transitional phase.
