The holiday season is upon us! Systems Unlimited had a blast starting the season by participating in the Cedar Rapids Festival of Trees on the weekend of November 18th. The air buzzed with holiday excitement, and we couldn’t have been happier to be part of the fun.
This year, we created an old-fashioned-themed Christmas Tree tree. This tree was decked out with traditional ornaments like cinnamon cut-outs and dried orange slices, all hand-made by our Cedar Rapids Day Program. Not only did the decorations look amazing, but made the tree smell positively wonderful. Throughout set-up, people often stopped by to comment on the lovely smell and how cozy the tree looked.
If you are feeling crafty this season and want to make a similar tree, here are the instructional blogs to make the cinnamon ornaments and orange slice ornaments.
Thank you to everyone who visited the Festival of Trees and gave our tree a nod of approval, or even placed a bid on our tree. To the person who took our tree home, we hope it brings you as much joy as we experienced making it.
Here’s to more laughs, more crafts, and more festivities in the future. Want to stay up-to-date on our festive activities? Check out our events page!
